Have you ever felt like you were behind in life… but deep down, something in you whispered, “Your time is near”?
At 38, I’m standing in the in-between. Not where I thought I’d be by now—but somehow exactly where I need to be. For years, I believed I was running late. Behind on love. Behind on career. Behind on my dream life. The milestones society promised didn’t arrive on schedule, and the pressure to “catch up” felt suffocating.
But now I see the truth.
I wasn’t late.
I was becoming.
The Struggle

There’s a weight that creeps in when you reach your late 30s and feel like you’re still figuring it out. I’ve wrestled with invisible timelines—pressure to be married, own a home, climb a ladder, or have it all “together.” I’d scroll through highlight reels and wonder, Why not me? Why not yet?
Comparison became a thief of my peace. The internal dialogue was loud:
“You should’ve achieved more by now.”
“You’re falling behind.”
“You missed your window.”
But the truth was more sacred than the noise.
The Turning Point

The real turning point came when I stopped asking why I was late… and started asking what I was learning.
Each disappointment, detour, and delay had quietly been sculpting me. The hard lessons weren’t punishments—they were preparation. They taught me resilience, self-awareness, and how to root for myself when no one else showed up.
I started to reclaim my narrative.
I let go of timelines that weren’t mine.
I honored my process, even if it didn’t look like anyone else’s.
The Becoming

At 38, I’ve stepped into my power—not because I have all the answers, but because I’m no longer afraid of the questions.
Becoming isn’t about achieving everything by a certain age. It’s about evolving into the version of you that’s been waiting underneath the “shoulds,” the doubts, and the delays.
I’m learning to celebrate every tiny win.
To show up for my purpose.
To stop shrinking just because I took a different path.
And in doing so, I’m meeting a woman I deeply admire:
Me.
💬 The Takeaway

38 isn’t the end of a race. It’s the start of a revelation.
For the woman who’s ever whispered “I thought I’d be further by now”—this is your reminder:
You’re not behind. You’re becoming.
Each delay, heartbreak, pivot, and pause has shaped you with intention. And now, with experience in your hands and wisdom in your bones, you’re ready.
Your timeline is valid. Your journey is sacred.
And your becoming? It’s right on time.
